Damak (Jhapa): CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has claimed that public trust in his party is growing steadily. Addressing a program organized by the Maoist Centre in Gaurigunj, Jhapa, on Monday, Dahal expressed confidence that the Nepali people would once again support his party in its mission to rebuild the nation.
He highlighted the party’s recent success in gaining public attention by winning local-level by-elections in several areas, even defeating candidates from the ruling alliance. Dahal welcomed new members to the party during the event, stating that the Maoist Centre continues to receive overwhelming support from the people.
As a former Prime Minister, Dahal emphasized that the political milestones achieved in Nepal were largely due to the leadership role of the Maoist Centre. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to safeguarding these achievements and leading the nation toward prosperity.
"We believe that the people of Nepal will support us as there is a need for another movement to institutionalize the federal democratic republic and ensure the country's prosperity," Dahal said. He argued that while political changes have been significant, another movement is required to secure economic, social, and cultural rights, which are essential for strengthening the nation.
